Another new venue for SVE in 2019 will be the beautiful St Cecilia’s Hall on Saturday 26th October. “Blessed Cecilia” will feature music in praise of the Patron Saint of Music, St Cecilia. Only just off the Royal Mile, the St Cecilia’s Hall dates from 1763 and was the first purpose-built concert hall in Scotland. Originally built by the Edinburgh Musical Society in 1762, the Georgian venue is a real hidden gem, and has recently undergone a £6.5million renovation.
